How to remove Muute?

In this article you will learn how to properly remove Muute on Windows or macOS.

If you want to remove the Muute app, please follow the below instructions for correct removal.

Windows

  1. Use the Windows search bar to search for 'muute'

  2. Choose 'Remove'
  3. Search in the list for the 'muute' app
  4. Choose the three dots, click 'Remove' and confirm removal
  5. You will get an administrator prompt in order to remove the Muute installation, choose 'Yes'
  6. Click 'Ok' to confirm final removal
  7. After a couple of seconds the Muute app will be removed from your system

Note that just deleting the 'muute' folder in the 'Program Files' directory will not correctly uninstall Muute. You need to use the uninstaller to correctly remove Muute from your system. If happen to have uninstalled Muute this way, please install Muute again and follow above steps to correctly remove Muute.

macOS

  1. Go to your Applications folder

  2. Right click 'muute' and choose 'Move to Trash'
